About me

I tell stories about the region, from my home in Ecuador.

I’m a bilingual creator from Ecuador. I make videos and write about culture, history, politics, and everyday life in Latin America.

My aim

I want to share the history and everyday details that help explain what is happening in the region.

My perspective

Context changes what a story means.

I make videos about Ecuador and Latin America for people at home and abroad. I try to share the local context that can be hard to find from a distance.

I draw on life in Ecuador and an interest in how culture, media, and people move across borders. I pay attention to history, social customs, economic changes, and the experiences people share with me.

I aim to explain what I learn in everyday language, while making room for the details and questions that do not have simple answers.

What guides my work

Three principles. How I approach my work.

I try to make complex subjects easier to follow while keeping the context that matters.

01

Start local

I start with the people, places, and everyday experiences behind a story in Ecuador or Latin America.

02

Make nuance useful

I look at the history, social customs, economic changes, and personal experiences that help explain a story.

03

Create across borders

I tell stories in English and Spanish to share local perspectives with people across borders.

What I’m working on

I’m continuing to learn about the place I call home.

Through videos, writing, and future digital products, I’m finding ways to share what I learn about Ecuador and Latin America.
